CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES – 20th Century Studios has announced a revised version of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The revision of this 1992 released Hollywood block-buster was needed due to one crucial amendment necessary to make the classic movie demonstrate an accurate reflection of modern times.
The iconic scene where Kevin McCallister meets Donald Trump in the Plaza Hotel has been reshot following “necessary revisions.” The updated version now features Trump stopping Kevin not to give him directions – but to sternly lecture him for his “unjustified aggression” toward the two “mostly peaceful” burglars who broke into his family home the year before.
“We were left with no choice,” said a Fox spokesperson. “Since we wanted our timeless Christmas classic to reflect what a stable genius Donald Trump is, we just had to remake that scene. Otherwise people may not understand that Donald Trump really is a stable genius. The Plaza Hotel moment is iconic, and, well… let’s just say we made it even more memorable.”
In the remade release, Trump shakes his head in disappointment and warns Kevin, “Look, kid, I know a couple of guys who had a rough time at your place. Real victims. Good guys, very misunderstood. And frankly, some people are saying you were the real problem.” Kevin, visibly confused, tries to explain, but Trump cuts him off: “I don’t know, folks. The bricks, the paint cans, the electrocution – very nasty stuff. Very unfair.”
The news has sparked immediate reactions among fans who are embracing the revision as an accurate reflection of modern discourse.
‘The amended version of Home Alone 2 is set to hit theaters this holiday season, just in time for audiences to debate whether Kevin was truly the villain all along.
