WASHINGTON, D.C. – As economic irony, President Donald Trump has reportedly picked up a side hustle as a Tesla salesman to help make ends meet.

Citing his “shockingly modest” presidential salary of $400,000 a year, the Commander-in-Chief confessed that inflation and skyrocketing grocery prices have left the First Family eating generic cereal and sharing one Netflix account like “regular folks.”

“I crunched the numbers with several financial experts, and it turns out I need to sell at least three Model Ys a month to keep up with my golf club membership payments” the President admitted during a surprise press conference at the Tesla showroom.

Wearing a cap with the Tesla-logo, Trump cheerfully handed out brochures while emphasizing the benefits of autopilot for anyone with a stressful job. “Trust me,” he added with a wink, “it practically drives itself. Unlike Congress.”

Tesla customers appear thrilled to be test-driving with the nation’s leader. “He threw in free Supercharger miles and promised to pass my student loan forgiveness personally,” said one satisfied buyer.

White House insiders reveal the President is also considering taking on Uber shifts in the Cybertruck on weekends, though Secret Service agents are still figuring out how to work the backseat child locks.
