WASHINGTON, DC – Former Vice President Kamala Harris went yesterday shopping into a local grocery store for the first time in years.
Armed with a shopping cart and a handwritten piece of paper with instructions “How to buy milk,” Harris quickly found herself grappling with a harsh reality: the prices of everyday goods have skyrocketed.
“What do you mean by $7 for eggs?!” Harris reportedly exclaimed. “When did eggs become a luxury item? Are they laid by hens with college degrees?”
Witnesses say she then moved to the cereal aisle, only to audibly gasp at the price of her favorite granola. “It’s almost like inflation is… real,” she muttered.
The former Vice President’s shopping trip remained rather short because a shock of skyrocketed grocery prices.
Before leaving, she was seen taking a selfie in front of a “Buy One Get One Free” sign, captioning it: “We must ensure this kind of affordability for all Americans!”
As she exited the store with only a bag of some cereals and a single banana, Harris vowed to “look into this” and encouraged Americans to “stay hopeful” about their grocery budgets.
Meanwhile, the cashier reportedly joked, “She better bring Biden next time – maybe they’ll finally notice the gas prices, too.”
