LOS ANGELES, CA – As wildfires rage through affluent neighborhoods in Los Angeles, members of local Black Lives Matter (BLM) communities have reportedly taken a surprisingly relaxed stance on the chaos.

“Honestly, it’s just nature leveling the playing field,” said a local BLM activist, while sipping on an iced latte. “They build those multimillion-dollar homes in fire zones, and now Mother Nature is just doing what the housing market couldn’t – redistribution.”

Social media has exploded with memes from BLM supporters, including a popular one captioned, “Alexa, play ‘Burnin’ Down the House’ by Talking Heads.”

One viral TikTok video featured a group of teens chanting, “No justice, no sprinklers!” in front of a smoldering mansion. “We’re not celebrating,” said one of the teens, “but let’s just say we’re not exactly starting GoFundMe pages, either.”

Meanwhile, wealthy homeowners have been left scratching their heads as to why the flames seem oddly selective. “The fire skipped our community garden and headed straight for the Pilates studio,” said a Bel-Air resident. “It’s almost like it knows.”

In response, BLM leaders have issued a tongue-in-cheek statement: “Don’t worry. It’s not personal / it’s just karma’s turn to gentrify the hills.”
