WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald Trump has announced a bold plan to “prevent communism in America” by ensuring the continued activity of the social media platform TikTok, the one that is often associated with the Chinese Communist Party’s global influence.
As one of his first presidential actions President Trump on Monday signed an executive order that delays enforcement of the TikTok ban for 75 days.
On Monday Trump declared,”Nobody knows communism better than me. I’ve defeated it before – some people say better than Reagan – and now I’ll do it again, using TikTok. It’s tremendous. Everyone’s on it, even the communists.”
Trump’s new strategy, dubbed “Operation Scroll and Freedom,” involves securing TikTok’s dominance in the U.S. social media market to distract young Americans from dangerous ideologies like socialism by keeping them busy with dance challenges and cat videos.
The president assured his supporters that by flooding the platform with patriotic content, such as TikTok dances to God Bless America, he would totally outsmart the communists at their own game.
Critics have pointed out the irony of his plan, given Trump’s past attempts to ban TikTok over alleged national security concerns. But the president dismissed those criticisms, saying,
“Look, when I wanted to ban TikTok, it was because it wasn’t American enough. Now I’ve figured it out – we’ll make TikTok so American that China will want to copy us. Believe me, they’ll be dancing to ‘YMCA’ by next week!”
