WASHINGTON , DC – The U.S. representative for Florida, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a bill to replace Benjamin Franklin’s portrait on the $100 bill with none other than President Donald Trump.
Citing Trump’s tremendous contributions to the American economy, especially in the field of branding and self-promotion, Luna reasoned her proposal.
Luna also argued that the change would “make our currency great again.”
“Benjamin Franklin was great, sure, but let’s be honest – how many buildings, golf courses or meme coins did he put his name on?” Luna stated during a press conference.
“Donald Trump embodies the true spirit of American capitalism, and what better way to honor him than by putting his face on the most valuable bill in circulation?”
Sources close to Luna say early design drafts feature Trump wearing a baseball hat with his signature slogan “Make America Great Again”.
Critics have slammed the proposal as “utterly ridiculous”, while Trump supporters have hailed it as “long overdue” and “the best idea since the $2 bill.”
The Treasury Department has yet to comment, though insiders say officials are currently preoccupied with figuring out how to prevent the bill from mysteriously doubling in value whenever someone uses it at a Trump-owned property.
