WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump has announced plans for the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which would officially designate eccentric billionaire Elon Musk as the “Fourth Branch of Government.”

Trump declared, “We’ve got the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches – very good branches, some of the best branches – but quite frankly, folks, we need a genius branch. And who’s a bigger genius than Elon? Maybe me, but that’s okay.”

According to an early draft of the amendment, Musk would have sweeping powers over all things innovation, free speech, and rockets, including the ability to override Congress on any issue he deems “boring” and personally launch politicians into space “if they’re not making America great again.”

A provision also reportedly includes renaming the Supreme Court to “X-Court” and replacing traditional robes with SpaceX flight suits. “We’re talking about big changes, folks—HUGE,” Trump added.

Critics have raised concerns about the proposal, arguing that a billionaire with control over social media, space travel, and electric vehicles does not need an official government role.

However, Musk responded on X (formerly Twitter) with a simple “🤔,” which has already been interpreted by legal analysts as tacit approval of the amendment. Meanwhile, constitutional scholars remain divided, with some arguing that this is completely unconstitutional and others saying, “At this point, sure, why not?”

Despite widespread skepticism, Trump remains confident the amendment will pass, claiming that it has tremendous support from voters, particularly on Truth Social and “people who love cars and the moon.”

While Congress has yet to take the proposal seriously, inside sources claim that Mitch McConnell was last seen rubbing his temples and whispering, “I should have retired in 2018.”
