PRESIDENTS DONALD TRUMP AND VOLODYMYR ZELENZKYY, AND SOME OTHER GUY MEETING IN PARIS, FRANCE.
PARIS, FRANCE – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump reportedly had a “lightbulb moment” in Paris this week when he realized that Ukraine is not just a plot device from a popular political drama but an actual sovereign nation.
The revelation came during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, when both presidents met at the re-opening of the renovated world famous Notre Dame de Paris cathedral.
A real country and not a fake place like Gotham City
“I always thought Ukraine was one of those fake places they make up for TV,” Trump told reporters after the meeting. “You know, like Wakanda or Gotham City. But then I met Zelenskyy, and he’s very convincing—very real, believe me.”
According to insiders, Trump initially asked Zelensky if his role as President of Ukraine came with Emmy nominations, only to be met with an awkward silence.
Trump’s confusion stemmed from Zelenskyy’s prior action career as a comedian
The confusion appears to stem from Trump’s vague familiarity with Zelenskyy’s prior career as a comedian and actor, particularly his starring role in the hit Ukrainian TV show Servant of the People, where Zelenskyy plays a fictional president.
“I thought this guy was just doing method acting,” Trump remarked. “Turns out, he’s the real deal. Who knew?”
Observers claim that the moment of truth dawned when Zelenskyy presented Trump with a map of Eastern Europe, pointing out Ukraine’s borders and discussing ongoing geopolitical challenges.
“At first, I thought it was one of those Risk game boards,” Trump admitted. “But then I saw the name ‘Russia’ and thought, ‘Wait a minute, this sounds familiar.’”
Zelenskyy, for his part, handled the situation with his trademark humor. “I assured Mr. Trump that Ukraine is indeed real and not part of some Netflix series,” he quipped during a press briefing.
As the meeting concluded, Trump reportedly expressed newfound respect for Zelenskyy and his commitment to method acting on a global scale.
